Keiichi Tanaami – Coral Reef’s Edge
LITO Editions and the Institute of Contemporary Art, Miami (ICA Miami) announce the commissioning of the first posthumous authorized edition by Keiichi Tanaami. The edition is produced on the occasion of Keiichi Tanaami: Memory Collage, the artist’s first US solo museum exhibition, opened at ICA Miami on November 21, 2024.
Titled, Coral Reef’s Edge, 2024, the work is based on Tanaami’s 1973 work, Coral Reef’s Edge, one of the artist’s major early paintings, now part of KAWS private collection and an example of his seminal influence on pop art. A portion of proceeds will be supporting ICA Miami’s exhibitions program. Using the collected and edited data from the original artwork, the LITO Hi-Rnd© technology enables the creation of relief and texture, resulting in an impressive and radiant edition printed on high-quality paper.
